Based in the southern suburbs of Sydney, The Linear Project is a full scope internal renovation based on creating a calm and nurturing space for the family that calls this place home. Being a large family of 8 we wanted to create a practical and functional home that is also beautiful. We used a combination of neutral finishes mixed with warm timbers to modernise the home and give the design a sense of serenity when everyone arrives home after a busy day.
The atmosphere is unhurried and grounded. Sound is softened, light is diffused, and every surface invites touch—cool stone, woven textiles, smooth wood. It’s a place designed not to impress loudly, but to settle the mind, where the boundary between indoors and out dissolves into a quiet, continuous calm.
